About

Kris was born in Elkins, WV about an hour away from where he currently resides in Davis, WV which is also his home town. Kris grew up in Davis, WV which has a total population of less then a 1,000 residents and neighbors Thomas, WV which is 2 miles away and has a population of just over a 1,000 residents. The entire county of Tucker only has one stop light. He attended grade school @ Davis Thomas Elementary Middle School “Go Bears” where he was a solid student and earned honors as a basketball and football player.

Kris then attended High School in nearby Tucker County High School “GET’EM MT. LIONS” where he was a solid student and became interested in technology. Kris quickly found his way at TCHS playing Football, Basketball, and Track as a (Sprinter, Relay Runner, and High Jumper) as a freshman kris played football and was forced to skip his freshman year of basketball due to injury. However, do to his determination, work ethic and persistence he was quickly back and competing. After a great start and amazing play through his SO year he was forced to skip the last 4 games of the football season and get healthy and condition for the basketball season. He was the leader of the JV Squad which finished with only 5 losses on the season. As a Junior Kris played the first 4 games missed 2 and finished out the season in football banged up, however exploded on the court in basketball playing both JV and Varsity as a Junior. Do to the rough memories the first three years Kris decided to void and not play football his senior year yet focus on basketball and a couple scholarship interests there. Kris played with a great group of guys throughout his senior year, and rotated as a starter with three others dependent upon the size and style of play of the other team, this was unique because it opened up opportunities for other awards and events that came later. Kris ended up winning the 6th man award his senior season for the best 6th man in the state despite being a starter, he got invited to 3 different all-star games as well. TCHS Boy’s went 23-1 and started and ended the season never dropping the #1 rank in AA in the state of WV. The team broke a lot of school and state records that year, and were heavy favorites to win the state championship. After struggling in the first round to put away a weaker opponent only winning by 13, they boys came out and dominated a much more equivalent team in the second round winning by 18 with subs playing much of the 4th period. In the state championship game TCHS exploded through the first quarter and a half gaining as much as an 9 pt lead, before one of the guards was injured and force to set out. The team played hard but just wasn’t mentally focused and sacrificed the lead going into half down 6. They came out in the third period reclaiming the lead by as much as 5 before ghosts of the past came back to haunt them. The second half of the third period TCHS only shot 16% from the field going cold and unable to hit open shots and free throws and got behind quickly and an insurmountable amount. TCHS lost the championship game but had the hearts of their fans and basketball fans all around the state whom followed their amazing season and program. Kris finished his basketball career in the TW All-Star game in Elkins, WV were he was born He won the MVP trophy scoring 26 points 14 rebounds 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks with his only competition being his team-mate in a lopsided victory of 38 points over the opposition. Kris went on 13 visits to colleges but never came to an agreement with any to play in college.

Kris attended WVU for the first semester and questions whether a large university was for him and whether he wanted to spend 4 years there. He quickly found the International Academy of Design & Technology (formerly known as Computer Tech ) and transferred. IADT was unique in that it had lectures however was more hands on training in cutting edge technology that could give him a edge in transitioning into the work environment in a fast past environment. He graduated with above a 3.0 GPA with his specialized associate degree in computer information management.

Upon graduating Kris went to the Washington D.C. Metro area where he began working as a freelance web designer for a company called Ranstad Creative Technology. Unimpressed with the area and the advancement opportunities within the company at the time kris decided to comeback closer to home. He worked at a few companies before becoming a sub-contractor for larger firms and companies such as GDH Consulting, Go2IT Group which lead him to work for clients such as ( 7-Eleven, Elder Beerman, Meadowbrook Mall, Big Lots and Dollar General ) doing random IT Services in the networking field. After a couple years doing this and also freelancing in web design and development Kris Stepped away from web design for about a year and a half, and accepted an offer from a networking firm called ProCom Networking. With ProCom Kris got the opportunity to due IT services and solutions for CVS Pharmacy’s and Wal-Mart. After a year and a half working with ProCom traveling constantly and being away from home weeks at a time, Kris decided it was better for his family if he were home everyday to help out and spend time with them, so he took a pay cut and went to work for a computer company called digital soup in Elkins, WV where he was born. Kris worked began working as a PC Technician, and then became a Network Technician as well for the company before they found out his extensive knowledge and skills as a web designer and developer. They quickly made Kris the acting Web Designer | Developer | and gave him the task of bringing their web design facet back to life. So with new servers requested and purchased and several clients gained Kris managed to get this back on track, unfortunately do to non-fulfillment of promises made to Kris he decided it was best if he no longer was associated or worked for the company anymore. So Kris came back to Tucker County and his home town of Davis and started his own PC repair facility and business, the only one in his county and still the only one in his county a successful venture of going on 5 years now however, it just doesn’t suit or fit Kris that well. So 3 years ago Kris decided to open a sister company Web Rocket Studios a web design firm. He has ran an managed both companies since and has gained and been responsible for building sites for great organizations and businesses however feels it is time to work in the industry full-time for a well established organization. Kris was webmaster | web designer | web developer for a total of 33 different companies in the past 5 years and as many as 23 at one time, maintaining, managing, upgrading their websites and managing their social media.
